I stayed at this hotel in mid May for 12 days and experienced three different rooms.

Rooms are large and bright throughout all categories.
Cleanliness is more than satisfying.
Sheets and towels are changed daily.
Shower gel, shower cap, shampoo and two bottles of drinking water are provided free of charge daily.
In-room TVs are big and feature international channels, even HBO and Cinemax are among them.
Room categories are: superior, deluxe, business, executive.
The only difference between superior and deluxe is the floor level and some painted paper on the wall, so don’t bother.
Business rooms feature even bigger TVs, a bathtub and additional free tea/coffee.
Breakfast buffet buffet included in the room rate was good yet somewhat more eastern style.

The Hotel also features a restaurant with delicious meals, 24 hour room service with the same menu and a great executive lounge on the top floor with live Jazz music.

The only disadvantages in my opinion are:
1. Some of the Air conditioners could use better maintenance as two of the three I used provided a somewhat unpleasant smell. But I guess this will be fixed soon as I informed the manager about it.
2. Windows aren’t soundproof so you might want to stay at the higher level floors.

Wireless Internet is free of charge at the lobby and also provided at a bargain rate in the room (IDR 20’000 for 24 hours, that’s about $2.-)

Staff was extremely friendly and above average helpful with all my requests.(for example: I forgot the charger for my mobile phone at home so I asked the receptionist where I could buy one. They sent the bell service staff out immediately to buy one for me.) Travel agency services are also provided at the front desk, they charge IDR 20’000 per ticket booked.

If you would like to be treated like a king the Sahid Imara is definitely the place to stay.

Saya pernah beberapa kali ke Palembang, biasanya tiap datang ke sini, coba hotel-hotel baru. Nahh.. Sahid Imara ini lokasinya strategis, memudahkan saya mobile kemana-mana. Makanan di hotelnya pun harga terjangkau.. Rekomend buat yang cari hotel bintang 3 di tengah kota Palembang.

Kalo bagi gw, yang penting kamarnya gak ada sedikit pun bau asap rokok.. Maklum cewek kan pengennya kamarnya harum, wangi… Dan itu gw dapetin di sini.. Service oke! ada Dimsum juga di sini, so gak payah lagi cari makanan favorit selama tinggal di Palembang… Ini kedua kali tinggal di hotel ini pas lagi ada acara keluarga di sini, pas dech untuk keluarga.
